Beijing welcome you
(picture from wolkowski.wordpress.com but i did edit it)

Four of us will be heading to Beijing the capital of China, after we manage to snap some really cheap ticket that cost us Rm206 per person for return. The downside is we have to wait for more that 1 year before we can head to Beijing. Ticket actually to Tianjin then we would take a bullet train to Beijing (30minutes train ride)
Weather would be around average 13.65c, could possible average low of 7c. Should be a problem for us. Spring is around the corner, my only worry is the desert sand from Gobi dessert blowing toward Beijing.
Been to Beijing two time before this trip but this the first time i be wandering around without a tour guide. I just plain hate those factory visit and time wasting on those useless blood sucking leech factory. Doubt touring Beijing by our self would be hard since Beijing a popular tourist destination and some of us know how to speak mandarin.
Renie will restrain me from turning this trip into a museum tour. So she force me to plan in advance. Definitely i would visit at least 3-4 museum in Beijing, i just love the history and knowing Beijing deeper. Just have to make sure i bring them to Forbidden city, Great Wall and Temple of Heaven. That about it for the UNESCO world heritage site in Beijing that popular.
Visiting Great wall will take at least 1 day, same with forbidden city, Tienanmen square and Temple of heaven. The rest of the 4 days will be my museum tour day. I m so excited and looking forward visiting those. Stay tune for more detail info

Going Barber at Shanghai?

Old family portrait

Want Opium ?(Wealthy people style)

Don't even think about being a criminal here

Selling praying item during Ming Period

Guess buying "Kicap Soya"

Tofu Beauty

This the real cart noodle

Gigantic lantern (how i wish i had one in my house)
Shanghai museum near "The Bund" Area. Just next to the weird building "CCTV" if i m not wrong. One of the best culture museum i been to. Lots of thing to see, but because its not really English speaking friendly.
Sufficient facility and guide, people are friendly here too. A lot more crowded than Museum Negara (I guess maybe because Chinese New Year). Once one enter this museum, they see lot of old car and buses that used to be the main transport for Shanghai people during their industry period. Then one will enter to their culture and ritual once going up the stair. Everything properly align and arrange, the only problem i really hated is pretty hard to take a decent picture here cause gloomy and dark surrounding. Without proper camera skill i doubt anyone could take a decent picture here

Value 8/10
Entertainment 8/10
Informative 9/10
Facility 7/10

If anyone visit Shanghai, i suggest they give this museum a visit. Truly an eye opening museum and we get to know Shanghai better (Not whole of China) culture and historical event that happen here.

Eagle from Indonesia relic (hold mystic power according to the description)

Lori bomba (older than most of us here)

Dragon Head (guess from Johor)

Muzium Negara should be something every Malaysian should be proud of. Everyday i pass-by this museum, should i go or not? Yes the answer for me yesterday, accompany by my beloved Renie. How to go museum negara? Just follow the road sign once you reach Federal highway.
Parking around here cost merely Rm2 and entrance ticket Rm2. Total cost Rm4 (this might be the cheapest museum i enter)
This museum ain't anything like the "Night at the museum by Ben stiller" no Dinosaur, no story telling and kinda small. Entrance one will see "daurat" or "independant" theme like. A few gun and anti communist. On your right there will be "Zaman Malaysia" or Right there be "Zaman Malaysia Purba" nothing particular to be shout about.
But compare to the last time i come, around 7 year's ago, big improvement. Definately those model and relic seem better display and there a few interactive monitor (75% not working). Staff look better and smart in Malaysia traditional entire and clean. On second floor there in Malaysia Kini where you can see how Malaysian send one astronaut to space with Rm5m or 50m. (lazy to google) and there YAB Najib (Our beloved Prime Minister) face everywhere.

Outside there a free museum of Asean and Flower. Overall nice experience, great value and not crowded at all. For Rm2 i don't think we can ask more right. I think everyone should give this Musuem a try in the future. Next trip most likely Zoo Negara (wonder KFC still there)

p/s: There only one toilet zone for the whole Museum. (1Malaysia vision) = Satu Tandas

These are not real cause museum negara don't have the fund (these are just replica of human head)

Chinese Junk sunken treasure near Melaka strait

Orang Asli mask (where to buy?)
